Title: v7 Optimized Mac Installers?
Post by: Pale_Rider on June 11, 2013, 07:24:59 AM
Hey,

I noticed the Mac download section doesn't have anything in it anymore.  Is that because the CPU apps are in work or because v7 stock are already optimized?

Thanks,

Chris

Urs is still working on the OSX optimized apps.

The stock apps do have a lot of the optimization in them, but not all of it.

Hey,

Just checking in to see if there was any progress on either more optimized MB CPU apps or MB ATI apps for the Mac.  I have a shiny new Mac Pro at my disposal and there aren't nearly enough AP work units to even begin to give this thing something to do...lol

Thanks,

Chris

Just bumping this again to see if there was any new status.

Thanks,

Mac MBv7 CPU Apps for OSX 10.6 and Higher. Requires at least a 64 bit Core2 CPU. The SSSE3 App should only be used in 10.6 & 10.7 and is for early CPUs without SSE41.

MBv7 Apps for Macs with at least OSX 10.7 and an ATI/AMD HD5 GPU. Includes the current AstroPulse 7.07 GPU App. Meant as a Plug'nPlay package with included app_info for;
ap_7.07r2750_sse3_clATI_OSX64
MBv7_7.08r2955_ati5_ssse3_x86_64-apple-darwin
MBv7_7.07r2921_sse41_x86_64-apple-darwin

Also includes a new CPU AVX App which is Not listed in the app_info. If you have an AVX CPU, change the 2 names in the last app_info entry from
MBv7_7.07r2921_sse41_x86_64-apple-darwin to MBv7_7.07r2920_avx_x86_64-apple-darwin. You could also change the Plan Class from sse41 to AVX IF you don't have any existing CPU tasks.
