Title: Nvidia 680 a lot of excessive results
Post by: Caprio on September 25, 2012, 05:03:25 AM
The RAC of 680 is going down compared to the previous 560Ti.
There seem to be significant amount of overflows on the results exit -9 status with spikes of 29 - 30.

Is it again a problem with another Nvidia card?.

x41g and 306.23 driver version.

Just ran some tests with KnaBench.
As a sidetrack I confirmed that GTX680 running on 1075MHz compared to GTX560Ti with Core 900MHz and Shader 1800MHz performe on average 35% slower with one WU only.

I.e. a test run that took the GTX560Ti 30 seconds took GTX680 48 seconds.
The application is x41g on both.

That would mean that the 600 series actually performs worse than the 500 series :o

Heck, why not get a whole bunch of 560Ti instead of the 680!=!=?
???

So far the WUs seemed to just have excessive results. No invalid / inconsistent results reported so far......
